Affording MSA

We recognize that a Miller School of Albemarle (MSA) education is a significant investment. To make MSA affordable to more families, MSA provides several financial options: need-based financial assistance (nearly $2 million awarded each year), payment plans, and recommended loan options.

Awards to qualified students are made in the form of grants and are based upon a demonstration of financial need, coupled with a student’s individual merit.

    Academic coursework

    The tuition investment supports a comprehensive curriculum focused on critical thinking, collaboration, and real-world application (books excluded).

    Residential students at Miller School of Albemarle live on campus in thoughtfully appointed dormitories that combine comfort, safety, and a supportive community atmosphere.

    College advisory services

    Students receive personalized support with college research, campus selection, and match/safety/target planning, plus dedicated help crafting strong application materials.

  • Nursing & Wellness

    Our certified nurse and trained residential staff provide care to all students, during school time and after hours. We prioritize timely, compassionate care to support student learning and wellbeing.

  • Food services

    Campus dining offers three daily meals plus snacks for boarders (mid-day meals for day students), with menus that accommodate dietary needs and emphasize balanced, nutritious choices featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients.

  • Weekend/enrichment opportunities and trips

    Residential life programming includes weekend activities, study halls, wellness resources, and access to athletic and arts facilities. Some exclusions apply.

  • Student Success Center & Help Sessions

    Every student has consistent, equitable access to academic support. Our integrated approach fosters timely intervention, strengthens study skills, and reinforces classroom learning.

  • Seasonal athletic fees

    Team uniforms, facility maintenance, staffing, competition entry fees, and routine equipment for our interscholastic sports are included for all seasonal programs except Equestrian, Cycling, Baseball, and the Ski & Snowboard club.

Financial Aid

Miller School of Albemarle uses the Clarity Application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts.

Please complete the Clarity application alongside the enrollment application. To be considered for aid, a student must apply for admission and be accepted.

All new applicants for financial aid must submit to Clarity their current year’s and their previous year’s federal income tax returns, including W-2s and 1040s with all schedules and attachments.

Returning applicants for financial aid need only submit their current year’s taxes. Please upload all supporting documents directly to SSS.

If you need support during the process of completing your application, there is in-app support available through the “Help” button in the bottom left of the screen, as well as email and phone support at support@clarityapp.com or 206-210-3752, in both English and Spanish.

The application itself is also fully translated into Spanish.
