Miller School of Albemarle (MSA) is a coeducational day and boarding school for grades 8 to 12 in Charlottesville, Virginia. Nestled in the rolling hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, MSA has been educating the Minds, Hands, and Hearts of students since 1878. With a stunning 1,100-acre campus, MSA offers its 255 students ample opportunity to broaden their intellectual horizons, while gaining life enhancing experiences in a wide range of extracurricular activities. With boarding students from 15 states and 16 countries, life at MSA is full of meaningful relationships and experiences that shape students’ view of the world. MSA is known for combining academics with practical hands-on experience, so that students gain know-how as well as knowledge.

Admission to Miller School is competitive and space in each class is limited. We encourage interested students to begin application process in the fall. Our admissions team reviews each application with care.
We get to know each applicant and encourage in-person visits to campus. We take into consideration your academic achievements, interests and passions, personal qualities, and life experiences. Just as there is no typical Miller student, there is no ideal Miller applicant. We look forward to learning more about your personal path to MSA.
