Chinese New Year Begins

Laughing Dragon Kung Fu Performance leads big and little Mavericks into the Chinese New Year. Enjoy a photo journal captured by MSA alumnus Alex Zhou (‘24) of the remarkable performance. MSA’s Laina and Jackson Landseadel were two of the performers in the dance. In addition to the Dragon Dance, the Lunar New Year was celebrated with a presentation by Anita Li and Cici Wang in assembly.

In the evening, students enjoyed a Hot Pot dinner organized by June Zhou, Daniel Hu, Anita Li, and Cici Wang. They did this in collaboartion with Flik dining and Chef Shannon. Ruth Li worked with Engineering teacher Rich Magee on tanghulu making, and Chef Shannon led a tutorial on dumpling making.
