B.A., University of Mary Washington

Sam joined Miller School of Albemarle in 2007 after graduating from Mary Washington College with a B.A. in History. Beginning at MSA in the History Department, Sam taught United States History and American Government. Later Sam added AP United States History to his courses and served as the chair of the History Department from 2009-2011. Sam has also helped out in coaching wrestling, soccer, and strength and conditioning at MSA. Starting with the 2011-12 academic year, Sam transitioned to Director of Admission and then to Assistant Head of School in 2021. He loves introducing new families to MSA and sharing his passion for our school.
