Mark joined the Miller faculty in 2025 as the Librarian/Media Specialist bringing over 30 years of experience in classroom teaching, educational leadership and outdoor education. He earned his Doctor of Letters in American Politics and Culture from Drew University—where his dissertation received the Neal Riemer Prize in Democratic Political Theory—along with a Master of Arts in International Affairs from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and International Relations from Bucknell University.

Before joining Miller, Mark served as Vice President and Director of Programs at the Princeton Blairstown Center, an outdoor experiential learning facility in northwest New Jersey that served over 7,000 students annually from both inner cities and independent schools. Mark was previously the Supervisor of Humanities for Madison Public Schools and held teaching positions at Columbia High School, Fairleigh Dickinson University, and Drew University. Mark has been invited to present his innovative programs in history and service learning at the National Council of the Social Studies, and has been recognized for his scholarship and teaching by the Fulbright Association, University Press of America, The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, Museum of Early Trades and Crafts, The History Channel, and Montclair State University.

At Miller, Mark works closely with students to build strong study habits, research, and writing skills. He enjoys mentoring students and helping them to become independent learners with an ability to advocate for themselves. In his free time Mark enjoys time with family, hiking, biking, swimming, golf and most of all listening to music–live, and on vinyl records.
