Kelby Hanson grew up at the Miller School as a faculty child familiar with the rhythms of campus life. Having attended Miller for his own high school education, Kelby developed a strong foundation in both the sciences and arts that set the stage for his academic path. He went on to graduate from Roanoke College with a B.S. in Physics and a Mathematics Minor, achieving induction into the physics honorary society, Sigma Pi Sigma. As a teacher in the Math department, Kelby brings content knowledge and the lived experience of Miller’s values. 

Outside of the classroom, Kelby will be continuing his passion for cycling with the Endurance Team and enjoying being outdoors.
