Evzenie Coupkova joined the Miller School faculty in 2026 after earning her Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Purdue University. Her research in Statistical Learning Theory explores the properties of randomized algorithms, and she has published work with Springer Nature in Information Geometry and the Geometric Science of Information proceedings. 

While at Purdue, Evzenie served as a teaching assistant, leading courses in Calculus and Discrete Mathematics. She focuses on breaking down advanced mathematical concepts to help students develop a strong foundation in the subject. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new places, hiking, and swimming.
