Catherine Williams

Spanish & Math

Washington & Lee University

Catherine Williams has enjoyed a broad range of teaching experiences in boarding schools, classical homeschool settings, and a summer program for disadvantaged kids in Boston. She has taught children of every age group and class level, including babies (Kindermusik classes)!

She grew up in rural communities in Kansas and the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State.  After graduating from Washington and Lee University with a BA in Spanish, she worked as the Latin America Sales Manager for a  machinery manufacturer, traveling heavily in Mexico, Central America, and South America.

For Catherine, teaching and sales share a common denominator:  building relationships of trust.  She dedicates time and effort in getting to know and understand her students, and she encourages them to succeed in the often-daunting subject areas of foreign language and math.

Catherine's four daughters bring her great joy, and her youngest, Lucia, is a new member of the junior class. In her free time, you might find Catherine taking a hike, playing the piano, or attempting to learn a new skill.
