In her role as Learning Specialist at the Miller School, Anne loves guiding students to discover their unique learning strengths, gain confidence, and find joy in the learning process. Anne graduated from Wagner College with a degree in Special Education and Psychology, where she also played Division I women’s lacrosse.

Over the years, Anne has worked with students from a broad range of ages and backgrounds in both public and independent schools. Whether teaching in self-contained special education classes or supporting learners as a resource teacher and learning specialist, she believes in meeting students where they are and helping them grow through encouragement, understanding, and individualized support.

Above all, Anne values the meaningful relationships and connections she builds with her students. As a former athlete, she deeply understands the delicate balance student-athletes face and the unique challenges that come with managing academics and athletics. Before joining Miller, Anne coached JV girls’ lacrosse in Alexandria, Virginia, where she loved seeing her athletes gain skills, confidence, and a love for the game.

Anne’s passion for education and connecting with students goes beyond traditional classrooms. Anne began looking for innovative ways to reach learners on a more individualized level and founded her own tutoring business, converting an RV into a fully equipped mobile classroom to bring personalized learning directly to students and their families.

Now happily settled in Charlottesville with her two daughters, Anne enjoys balancing the demands of school life with motherhood, going on adventures with her daughters, and cheering on her students and athletes.
