Old Main Chapel transformed this weekend in student-led drama production.

Aliens, mines, government agents, Hollywood, and the media—Miller School audiences got it all in this spring’s production of All’s Well in Roswell, Isn’t It? Performed by students in our Drama class and staged in the Old Main Chapel Theater, the play delivered a fast-paced blend of mystery and comedy, with students helping shape the show from behind the scenes as well as onstage.

Set in 1947 New Mexico, the story follows ranch owner Ulysses T. Boone as he scrambles to manage the chaos after a UFO crash-lands on his property.

Reporters swarm the site, government officials circle, and tensions mount—especially around Jake, a quiet ranch hand with a curious past. As the plot unfolds, it’s revealed that Jake is no ordinary cowboy, but a stranded space alien waiting to return home.

The production combined great acting, creative set pieces, and thoughtful direction—highlighting both the students’ talents and Mr. Celella’s vision for the performing arts on the Hill.

It was an evening of laughter, suspense, and a reminder that even the strangest stories can bring a community together at MSA.
