Highlighting Talent
The Miller School of Albemarle Board of Trustees is comprised of individuals who believe in MSA’s mission and values and want to help the school find success. The BOT meets quarterly to review current projects and outline plans for the future. This year, Head of School, J. Michael Drude, added an agenda item to each meeting—a spotlight of a program or department on the Hill.
On Wednesday, December 11, the Fine Arts department highlighted the work of its students. Paintings, photographs, woodworking, and pottery filled the room for Board members to enjoy. Department Chair, Chris Celella, spoke about the purpose of the Fine Arts Department and its methodology for teaching students. The presentation culminated in student musical performances by Sicily Hawley-Hayes, Sophia McClung, and J.V. Ferreira.
