Sparkling Stars Illuminate the Dance Floor
The stars shinned brightly in more ways than one last Friday night.
As days grow longer and nights become warmer, MSA’s beautiful campus is an ideal location for evening dances and parties. MSA’s ambitious SGA and Student Life Office worked collaboratively to plan an amazing and safe outdoor spring formal dance.
Director of Student Experience, Hattie Francis, remarked: “For many students, this was the first time since last winter to dress up and dance the night away.” Complete with strung lights, bonfires, and an outdoor dance floor, students (and a few teachers) danced the night away under starry skies. When they were in need of a break, Sage Dining had a wide variety of food and drinks for students to enjoy as they sat by the fire and gazed at the beauty of Old Main and the Bell Tower under the clear night sky.
With Prom just around the corner, the Spring Dance highlighted that a safe and enjoyable social gathering is possible with careful and detailed planning. Head of School, Mike Drude, commented: “While the stars shined brightly all night, the real stars of the evening were the students who orchestrated the dance. The SGA’s commitment to student experience shined even brighter on Friday night than the sparkling stars in the sky.”
