Signing Day
Miller School of Albemarle recognized five student-athletes committed to play Division 1 athletics. On Wednesday, November 17, students from around the county were recognized on National Signing Day. Here on the Hill, four Maverick baseball players and one basketball player signed letters of intent to play at top Division 1 universities. Anthony “Ant” Davis committed to play basketball at Fairfield University situated on the Connecticut coastline, just 60-minutes away from the heart of Manhattan. Fairfield is one nation’s top Catholic universities.
TJ Brooks committed to James Madison University. Just over the mountain in Harrisonburg, Virginia, JMU is one of the top colleges in Virginia, and the Dukes athletic programs are outstanding.
Jacob Exum and Henry Cooke will head to the New River Valley where they will play for Virginia Tech. The Hokies athletic program is one of the best in the United States.
Landon Abrahamson will play for the University of Dayton where he will join the Flyers baseball team and study at the beautiful University of Dayton campus.
