Live from the Book Nook! MSA’s Fine Arts Department Chair, Chris Celella, performs daily songs for the MSA community to bring a little joy and gladness to their lives this spring. For nearly a decade, Mr. C has been inspiring students to perform for their peers and teachers. Now, he is using his own musical talents to bring the community together during social distancing. While we cannot enjoy our normal daily assemblies together, Mr. C’s majestic music has the power to transport us back to the Hill for a few minutes each day.

Mr. C remarked: “These songs are a message to all of you from my heart. Change is hard. It makes the work harder...but we will be better for this.”

Each performance is one-take—meaning, he does not edit or rerecord any of the song. This allows his students and colleagues to see that performance, like life, has bumps in the road occasionally—and playing through these moments is what makes life and art beautiful.

Enjoy his first five performances.
