Lucy Strandquist performs in Live Arts summer musical.

Lucy Strandquist is well known on campus for her contributions to the drama department—both as an actress and costume designer. This summer, she plays Coach Ripper in the LIve Arts Summer Musical, Heathers the Musical. Located on the Downtown Mall in Charlottesville, Live Arts is known for exceptionally high caliber productions that reflect the remarkable talent of volunteer actors and production teams.

Heathers the Musical runs July 14-July 30. The show is a “story of Veronica Sawyer, a brainy, beautiful teenage misfit who hustles her way into the most powerful and ruthless clique at Westerberg High: the Heathers. But before she can get comfortable atop the high school food chain, Veronica falls in love with the dangerously handsome new kid J.D.”
