Waking up for classes on Monday morning, the teal train road squad had Carolina on their minds.

The team traveled to South Carolina for back-to-back weekends of racing in the Hincapie Training Series. The first weekend had two grueling road races; the second weekend was two screaming fast criteriums. The Mavericks represented in most categories—junior, women’s 1-2-3, women’s 4-5, men’s 1-2-3, and men’s 4-5. Highlights of the weekend were big wins by Bridgett Ciambotti and Jude Gillespie—both taking their first road race victories in perfectly timed sprint finishes. Additional top-5 results were earned by Presley Evans (P1-2-3), Jordan Tessier, Chandler Evans, Eli Culbertson, Maximus Donohue, Ahillian Mani.
