The varsity boys baseball team nearly took the win against Benedictine, the number-one ranked team in the state. The game came down to the bottom of the 6th inning. Carson Atkins hit a home run leading to three runs being scored. It was a great moment for the team but not quite enough to take the lead. The game concluded 7-8. 

Mavericks play at home again tonight.
