The boys basketball team began its season at the Holiday Hoopsgiving in Atlanta, Georgia on November 24 against Sacred Heart Catholic. The Mavericks highlighted its depth of talent on the 2017-18 roster. The team showed cohesive and thoughtful play. Individual highlights included Dae Dae Heard's (Junior) impressive 28 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 assists as well as Andre Hyatt's (Junior) 15 points and 6 rebounds.

Dae Dae Heard is an absolute beast on the glass for the Miller School. He has several offensive rebounds. 2nd jump better than the first.
