The golf team competes in the Virginia Independent Conference and practices on the stunning 18-hole Old Trail Golf Course in Crozet, Virginia. The program focuses on each student-athlete’s growth in the sport and team objectives. The team consists of a committed and experienced group of golfers as well as novices learning the sport. With one of the best golf courses in Virginia as a practice ground and home course, the team enjoys great golf every day of the week.

Devin was moments away from accepting enrollment into a PhD program at the Sorbonne when he heard that an English teaching position at The Miller School -- a spot that he had pined for as a substitute teacher for Miller in 2016 -- had finally opened up. He has since joined its faculty, teaching 11th grade English and AP Language & Composition, and feels both elated and humbled to educate among such a stellar pedagogical crew.
Devin received his B.A. in English Literature from the University of Delaware in 2012. Following this degree, he worked within his alma mater at the English Language Institute, helping international students to break language barriers and advance into top-tier American graduate programs. In seeing firsthand the country’s rapidly changing educational industry, Devin took to South Korea to gain international English teaching experience. While educating students of all ages there, he picked up language and tai chi studies, deepening a personal interest in the religious philosophies and meditative practices of East Asia. Devin returned to the States one year later to attend the University of Virginia’s Master’s program in Religious Studies, with a focus in Early China.
Devin’s academic efforts gained the interest of top international scholars in his field. Upon the invitation of a professor from the University of Oxford, Devin presented a paper at an anthropology conference in Lisbon, Portugal in 2017, which garnered the attention of a would-be advisor at the renowned École Pratique des Hautes Études. While learning and teaching at the highest level seemed promising in some regards, Devin knew that his academic personality would be best suited where deep student engagement and care for the “whole student” was a top priority; and Miller was the fit
