Fashaya is a gardener, herbalist, beekeeper, and a small-scale pig and chicken farmer. She has a passion for observing plants and animals, raising them to live their best life that then carries over to healthy food sources. Fashaya is a second-generation farmer who grew up on a 600-acre farm in rural Madison County, Va— discovering her path with farming practices that sync with nature. With a diverse background, a degree in Photography, years of professional experience in project management, and continuing education classes in beekeeping and whole living, Fashaya's passion and roots instilled her path to farming. She looks forward to providing hands-on education on the connection to our food system, observing, planning, learning multiple approaches of growing, animal husbandry, and ultimately ending on our table after harvest while learning how to cultivate, blend, and care for nature.

Outside the farm, Fashaya enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband Peter and their four dogs, Porter, Knox, Ridge, and Aspen. She also loves backpacking, camping, mountain biking, and farm-fresh dinner with friends. Her hobbies also include making skincare products with ingredients from the garden and hive.
