B.A., James Madison University
M.A., Middlebury College

A native of Richmond Virginia, Sarah joined the Miller School in 2014. It was while completing a double major in Spanish and English at James Madison University that Sarah first fell in love with the Shenandoah Valley. While at JMU she discovered her passion for Spanish literature during a semester abroad in Salamanca Spain.

After graduation Sarah worked briefly in Washington D.C. before deciding that her love of Spanish could not be ignored. Her decision led her to the Middlebury College Spanish School, where she received her Master’s degree, as well as to an internship in Buenos Aires Argentina where she lived off and on over two years.

Sarah’s love of classical ballet was a perfect fit for the new Miller dance program. During the 2014 fall season, Sarah began teaching ballet class in the beautifully renovated fourth floor studio. An enthusiastic advocate of dance, Sarah continues her study of ballet through classes at the Charlottesville Ballet, Richmond Ballet and Sun King Dance. After living in Argentina, Sarah has also added Argentine tango to her dance repertoire.

In her spare time Sarah enjoys participating in the Charlottesville Tango community as well as indulging in her love of gardening; entertaining at her home in Charlottesville and traveling.
