Prior to joining the MSA staff, Gene taught math at Lord Fairfax Community College for five years and several years at the high school level. Before becoming a teacher Gene was an executive with multiple companies in the tech sector where he worked with start-up and pre-IPO companies. He started his career working for two of Ross Perot’s companies – EDS and Perot Systems.

Gene was born in New Jersey in the NYC area. Immediately after college he re-located to Dallas, Texas and then spent the next 15 years living in different parts of the country including Detroit, Milwaukee and St Louis, as well extensive business travel to many other parts of the country.

When not teaching Gene works with his horses on his farm with his wife Ann. Gene foxhunts and events with his current horse Munchkin.
