Visual and Performing Arts

MSA’s senior art students are consistently accepted to the top art and design schools. Acceptances over the past two years have included institutions such as Parsons (NYC), Fashion Institute of Technology (NYC), Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, VA), Savannah College of the Arts & Design, Rhode Island School of Design, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, School of Visual Arts (NYC), Pratt Institute (NYC), and Virginia Tech’s School of Architecture and Design.
Explore methods ranging from traditional film photography and darkroom processes to innovative digital techniques. Study the history and application of the photographic process while embracing contemporary practices.  MSA offers four levels of photography to challenge and inspire everyone from beginners to the most advanced student photographers.
The Miller School Drama Department is dedicated to the growth of young performers, technicians, and stage crew members.  Putting on two productions per year (one dramatic, one musical), the program allows students to be involved in every aspect of stage production.  Students act, sing, dance, design costumes, design make-up, build sets, assist in lighting design and audio production, and have fun!  Students experience the fruits of their labor on opening night when the audience is transported to a world that they have created!

The best thing about drama at MSA is that no experience is necessary.  Whether you have never set foot on the stage before or you are a seasoned veteran, we provide you with your chance to shine!  Newcomers learn the ins and outs of putting on a production from both the coaches and their fellow students.  For those with experience, there is opportunity to to hone your talents or try something new.  “All the world’s a stage” and there is truly a part for everyone to play with MSA Drama!
