Cheering On Girl’s Varsity Volleyball

VVB2013_2014On Friday, the girl’s varsity volleyball team played a great match against Carlisle. The team’s superb communication allowed them to set up many excellent rallies, putting the opposing team in a defensive stance. While the girl’s played a great game on the court, it was impressive to see the energy of the players on the bench who were avidly cheering their teammates on. But, unfortunately, the team were unable to pull off a win.

Claire Wayand had an excellent game, closing the score gap at times due to her six service points and five aces. Claire has contributed much to the girl’s volleyball team this year, displaying her leadership both on and off the court.

Another notable player from the game was Adrienne Darden, who had three aces, two kills, and two blocks. Her strong offensive skills played a major role in the team’s commanding presence on the court.

Rachel Breving jumped on the opportunity to play front row for us this game. She took advantage of this opportunity and wowed her team and coaches by setting up various plays and contributing as a major defender at the net. The team is excited to watch Rachel grow as a front row player for the rest of the season

Come out and watch our three final games of the season! Cheer the Lady Mavs on!
