Financial Aid

Miller School of Albemarle is proud to carry out the vision of our founder, Samuel Miller, by making a quality independent school education available to qualified students regardless of need. Our need-based financial aid program is healthy and of great service to many of our students and their families. Nearly 40% of students receive some level of aid.

Financial aid requests must be renewed from year to year with a new application and updated financial data.  All new students are urged to apply as early as possible because the financial aid resources of the Miller School of Albemarle are finite and are typically fully committed by late spring.

The starting point for all financial aid request is an online application through School & Student Services (SSS).   This process will be done in two steps:

  1. Complete the SSS Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS), including all information and complete explanations for all circled items.  The PFS is completed online

To Complete the PFS online please go to:   http://sss.nais.org/parents/

  1. Submit any supporting tax documentation to complete the application

-Questions about the process may be directed to the SSS Help Desk

While Miller School of Albemarle does not offer loans, there are a number of independent organizations which do. Detailed information about loan programs can be found online at www.privateschools.com/loans.phtml
