MSA Faculty & Staff Members Conquer Triathlon

On August 26, Charlottesville Multisports hosted the annual Walnut Creek Triathlon in North Garden, VA.  Over 120 athletes, of all ages, came out to test their mettle on a notoriously hilly and challenging course.  The Olympic distance race had competitors swimming 1500m, biking 23.5 miles, and running a 10k.  The Sprint distance event was comprised of a 750m swim, 16.7 mile bike ride, and a 5k run.

Seven Miller School of Albemarle faculty and staff members competed in the event.  The group looked sharp in custom MSA tri suits created by Phillip Robb of Cutaway USA.

Shortly before graduation 2017 these MSA employees committed to push each other as they trained over the summer and had the opportunity to celebrate one another on race day.  There were some great finishes and new personal records set.  Everyone is already looking forward to this becoming an annual tradition at the start of the school year.
